Job Title: Associate Imam

The Islamic Center of Greater Miami is seeking a dynamic and passionate Imam to lead our diverse and vibrant community. As an integral part of our spiritual leadership team, the ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Islamic teachings, strong communication skills, and a special focus on engaging with and inspiring the youth.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead daily prayers, Friday sermons, and special religious events.
2. Provide religious guidance and counseling to community members.
3. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members, with a particular emphasis on connecting with the youth.
4. Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the spiritual growth of individuals, especially the younger generation.
5. Collaborate with community organizations and leaders to address social issues and promote unity.
6. Conduct outreach activities to connect with diverse segments of the community.
7. Participate in interfaith dialogue to promote understanding and harmony.

Requirements:

1. A qualified Islamic scholar with a deep understanding of Islamic jurisprudence and theology.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in engaging with youth.
3. Previous experience in leading Islamic educational programs and community outreach.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse community members and organizations.
5. Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
6. Commitment to promoting tolerance, inclusivity, and community welfare.
