Alhamdulillah, 2025 was a year of remarkable growth, connection, and service for the South Florida Muslim Federation. From record-breaking events to new programs and community milestones, this past year was a testament to what our community can achieve when we come together with unity and purpose.
The 3rd Florida Muslim Conference drew 2,000+ attendees, featuring speakers including UFC champion Belal Muhammad and Imam Siraj Wahhaj. We launched our first-ever Connect & Thrive Members Retreat, deepened our engagement with South Florida’s Latino Muslim community through Camino Al-Islam, and strengthened spiritual leadership through our Imams Council.
We empowered our community through security trainings with the U.S. Department of Justice, helped member masajid secure a $150,000 FEMA security grant, and hosted workshops on financial aid, Sharia education, and ICE preparedness.
Our service initiatives brought equally meaningful impact — from the launch of the HalalConnect app, to interfaith Iftar Open Houses, Open Mosque Day, and solidarity vigils for Gaza and immigrant justice. We delivered 13 mental health workshops, hosted our inaugural Couples Workshop, and represented our community across 12 media appearances in the Miami Herald, Sun Sentinel, Palm Beach Post, and beyond.
None of this would have been possible without our member organizations, volunteers, donors, and community partners. Every single one of you played a role in making 2025 what it was.
