On Monday, August 26th, 2019 the South Florida Muslim Community with members of the South Florida Muslim Federation, gathered outside the Miramar ICE facility uniting with friends and neighbors to aid the migrants and asylum seekers.
Notable community organizations that attended the event were ICNA Relief and Friends Of Humanity International, Inc. Members of the community, along with volunteers and special guest Robin Bartlrman – Broward County School Member were giving out backpacks, snacks, and water to migrant families and asylum seekers as they were checking into the Miramar ICE Facility.
