South Florida Muslim Federation, in its ongoing efforts to support the needs of the local Muslim Community, has recently embarked on a new mental health initiative to create awareness, educate and provide access to Muslim mental health service providers. This initiative has been driven by the mental health crisis being experienced at local and national levels. The Muslim community is need of culturally sensitive mental health providers that understand both spiritual and therapeutic methodologies.

As a first step, we are creating a web portal directory of local Muslim mental health providers and pastoral advisers. The directory and our new web portal will promote additional visibility and business growth opportunities for the mental health service providers, and bridge the gap between mental health needs of the Muslim community and access to the local licensed Muslim mental health professionals.

In addition to the provider directory, the new web portal will provide access to pastoral counseling, collaborative educational programming, data compilation of community mental health issues, and information about local and national mental health news and events.

If you are a provider of the Mental Health Services, we would like you to please complete the new provider sign up form (link shown below) and authorize us to add your mental health services/practice listing to the Muslim mental health provider directory.
