The Qur’an Competition at the Florida Muslim Conference is a celebration of the beauty, precision, and power of Allah’s words. Designed to nurture a lifelong love for the Qur’an, this competition brings together youth from across South Florida to showcase their memorization, tajweed, and recitation skills — inspiring excellence, humility, and commitment to the Book of Allah.

Our goal is to help young Muslims strengthen their connection to the Qur’an, embody its guidance, and grow in both confidence and character through friendly, faith-based competition.

The competition is open to all students enrolled in Hifz or Weekend & Islamic Schools in South Florida.

For Weekend & Islamic Schools:

• Grades 9–12: Juz 29
• Grades 6–8: An-Naba to Al-Burooj
• Grades 1–5: At-Tariq to An-Nas

For Hifz Schools:

• Entire Quran
• 15 Juz
• 5 Juz

Additional cash prizes and awards will be given to top finalists in every category.

On the day of the competition, finalists from schools across South Florida will come together to recite before a panel of esteemed judges. Each participant will be evaluated on:

1. Hifz (memorization and fluency)
2. Makharij & Tilawah (pronunciation and tajwīd)
3. Ada’ (clarity, confidence, and delivery)

Every student will be given verses to recite — part chosen by themselves and part selected by the judges. Scoring will be based on accuracy, tajwīd, and overall presentation, with an emphasis on precise memorization and proper recitation.

The event will conclude with an award ceremony honoring the top reciters in each category, celebrating their hard work, discipline, and devotion to the Qur’an.

3. Submit Your Form: Once confirmed, schools will receive details for competition logistics and guidelines.
